Aftercare
A wrap lasts as long as it is looked after. Ten minutes of reading here is the difference between five good years and two.
The adhesive is still curing for a full week after install. During that window: no washing of any kind, no pressure washers, no wax or polish, and try to keep the car out of heavy rain and direct all-day sun where you can. Small bubbles or a slightly hazy look in the film are normal in the first few days and disappear as the film settles.
Washing, Step By Step
Every two weeks is a good rhythm. Sooner if the car sees bugs, bird droppings, sap or road salt.
Loose grit is what scratches film. Flood the whole car with water before anything touches it.
One with pH-neutral soap, one with clean rinse water. Rinse the mitt between panels so grit never goes back on the car.
Wash in straight lines, not circles. Save the lower rockers and bumpers for last, where the worst grit lives.
Sheet the water off with a low-pressure open hose. Do not let soap dry on the film.
Clean microfiber, patted not dragged, or filtered air. Water spots left to bake in the sun will etch.
Stains That Need Fast Action
These are acidic and will etch permanently into vinyl if they sit. Remove them the day you notice them.
Soak the spot with warm soapy water first and let it soften. Never scrape or pick at it. If it does not lift with gentle washing, bring the car by rather than reaching for a solvent. The wrong chemical takes the finish off the film permanently.
The Warranty
Two separate warranties cover your wrap. Both are worth understanding.
If an edge lifts, a seam separates or a panel bubbles because of how it was installed, we redo it at no charge. Bring the car back and we will look at it.
Registered to the vehicle and the original owner. Keep your invoice.
Cast films from the major brands typically carry 3 to 7 years against cracking, fading and adhesive failure. Specialty films like chrome, color-shift and textured are shorter.
Your invoice lists the exact film and its rating. We handle the manufacturer claim on your behalf.
